Here are some steps to help support our mental state and gain a more positive outlook.


Ramp up our physical health

Believe it or not, being positive can positively impact our physical well-being. Studies have shown that optimists tend to have better cardiovascular health, stronger immune systems and a longer life expectancy compared to those who have a negative outlook.


Strengthened relationships

Positivity plays a vital role in nurturing healthy relationships. Optimistic individuals are generally more empathetic, compassionate and understanding, fostering a harmonious atmosphere in their interactions with others.


Increased productivity and success

A positive mindset boosts motivation and productivity. By focusing on solutions rather than problems, individuals can tackle challenges with greater creativity and determination, leading to higher levels of success in both personally and professionally.

From my perspective, life has been a whirlwind of events lately, with the recent weather adding an extra layer of complexity. Despite the challenges that have come my way, I am determined to face them head-on with a positive attitude and a strong mindset.


Juggling two jobs while still managing a small business is no easy task, but I see it as an opportunity to grow and learn. I am committed to finding a new routine that allows me to excel in all areas of my life.


One of the significant changes for me has been my children moving in together. While it may have been an adjustment, I approach it with a positive outlook, knowing that this change will bring the family closer together.


My youngest son participated in a charity boxing fight is another source of pride and challenge. I supported him wholeheartedly, knowing that his dedication to the cause is a testament to the values I have instilled in him.


The recent illness of my Nan has been a difficult time, but I have been there for her, offering support and making necessary changes to help her regain her independence. Which I can now say has worked and she is back to herself. But the process made me realise that implementing small changes can make a big difference.


When others comment on how I manages to handle so much, I credit it all to positive mindset and investment in my mental well-being. I understand that challenges are inevitable, but I refuse to let them overpower my spirit. Instead, I tackle them with resilience and strength.


My ability to thrive with a sea of responsibilities is a result of my determination to face everything with a positive outlook. I believe that maintaining a positive attitude not only helps me to conquer the obstacles but also inspires those around me.
